Why did Feldmeyer Financial Group make this transition?
We are constantly looking for ways to better serve you, your family and future generations. We’re confident that this decision will provide exciting opportunities to make wealth management easier, more efficient, and better overall for YOU.
We will have the ability to offer more enhanced technological opportunities – like faster investment transactions, more personalized educations opportunities and more streamlined processes overall. The world is ever changing and we need to stay one step ahead and be willing to adjust when necessary. This decision was made to put our team in a better position to help you – not just for today but for generations to come.
How do I transfer my accounts?
We have made this process very easy for you. First, we will call you to get your permission to move your accounts. During that call we will review your personal information for accuracy, things like your address, email, bank information for systematic payments – things that need to be in place.
Then you will receive an email for an e-signature.
Will I be able to keep my same advisor?
YES! You’ll be working with the same advisor, same location and same team that you have come to know and trust. We are very excited about this new opportunity to work with you. The only thing that is changing is where we hold your accounts, our phone number and email addresses.
Will this transition affect my beneficiary designations or estate plan?
Your advisor will work with you to ensure your beneficiaries are listed accurately on your accounts and that your estate plan is in place. This can also be a good time to make sure your beneficiaries and estate plans are up to date.
If I need money during this transition how will that be handled?
Once funds have been transferred, we will be glad to help you to get your money as quickly as possible. We will work with you to make sure you have the funds that you need.
What is the process for RMD’s and QCD’s?
This is an important requirement, and it needs to be done correctly. We have made every effort to get all RMD’s done prior to this change, but we will verify everything before and after the accounts are transferred.
We will also address any distributions that need to be made prior to the end of the year.
Will I be able to access my accounts through a website?
Yes! You will have access to your investments and – will be able to link your banking, 401(k) accounts, mortgage, credit cards, etc.
What this means to you is that you can conveniently view your entire financial world in one location and we can more accurately advise you based on ALL your financial information. You will be able to view this information on a mobile device or your computer. As soon as your accounts have been moved to Fidelity, we will assist you in creating your login credentials.
